another abortion murder…
i know, should i or shouldn’t i…i know i can, but should i?…well, the question is moot, i’m doing it already, yep, getting knee deep into this abortion debate, at the risk of getting way more enemies than friends on this, but then again…i got all the friends i need, i think, and our convictions shouldn’t make or break a friendship…
to begin with, yes, i think it IS “morally” wrong for someone to take the law into their own hands and go shoot and kill someone, however altruistic he/she thiks his/her reasons may be…but wait, the killer of the abortion doctor wasn’t taking ANY LAW in his hands, for there’s no law that says he deserved to die…so he didn’t take any law in his own hands, he just murdered someone.
this is typical of the religious nutjobs (wait to read the whole post, if you feel aluded, before you go off the handle), to make a judgement and carry whatever “sentence” they feel is required by their “god”, without thinking that first off, we are NO ONE to judge ANYONE on this earth, as according to your sacred book(s), it is god and ONLY god that is to judge anyone….and then, is killing any punishment?… according to your logic and dogma, in dying, one is to BE WITH GOD and “judgement day” is way off in the blurry future, so, even when the “spoken word” says that “ALL LIFE IS PRECIOUS”, religioius extremists of all leanings consider killing to be punishment and death to be a tragedy…
so then, how twisted is the logic that killing a life makes up for any other life(s)??? this fellow is going str8 to his own hell, coward that he is, for if he really was firm on his commitment, strong on his faith to his true god, confident of the fairness of his actions before “HIS EYES”, he wouldn’t have fled the scene like a petty thief…yet, he fled, instead of staying put and proud, to reaffirm his rightousness and his carrying out the will of his god, but just like a common criminal he fled, shameful and affraid…afraid of what? did he fear his god would not provide him with the strength to face his earthly and secular punishment? he is dying in jail, for sure, but, is he ready for it? i hope his faith is enough…
then here it comes, the other side of the coin…late term abortions…hum…we are talking about a VIABLE FETUS HERE…this is ALREADY a living, capable of breathing HUMAN, with not just a BEATING HEART, but A MIND as well, with fully mapped brain functions….it has feelings, however primal, it is SENTIENT, reactive to sound, voice, light AND PAIN…
I AM FULLY, UNEQUIVOCAL AND IRREVERSIBLY DEAD SET AGAINST LATE TERM ABORTIONS…
there, i said it…
while i believe a woman should have the CHOICE to terminate her pregnancy(ies) at will, as it is her body after all, even when she shares in the responsability of having created her “problem”, when this fetus reaches a viable state, and by viable i DO NOT mean viable with machines, respirators or any artificial support, as IT IS the case in most late term fetuses, most ARE VIABLE, her right to her body, in my humble eyes, stop dead in the tracks of the rights of that FULLY DEVELOPED human inside of her…
my solution? late term abortions should only be terminated with the consent, approval and recomendation of THREE doctors, none of which can be her primary doctor, but outside, unrelated and uninfluenced profesionals, who in essence, will have the power to actually kill another HUMAN BEING…even if to protect another, where her chances for survival would be CLOSE TO NONE, if a c section or the like were not PHYSICALLY acceptable, having fully reviewed all medical history and current condition…psychological trauma to the “expecting mother”? sorry, not enough reason to carry out a late term abortion…this is one of the MOST ABUSED but still valid reason to kill another human being today, sorry, no can do…
so there, that’s my stance on abortions…free and unobstructed until the fetus is viable…
