The Senate Bill that was passed into law was never meant to be final draft, not one Senator that voted for the bill expected it to become law, and thanks to back room deals and the election of Scott Brown, they were never allowed to vote on the issue again.
Every other country that has ever adopted socialized healthcare has mandated every citizen to participate to control cost, and they are still going broke from it. The Senate bill allows employers and individuals to pay a nominal tax and opt out, raising the cost for everyone that does buy insurance, thus putting America in a worse position from the beginning than every other socialist country.
Also, many of the countries that have been used as an example for advocates of 0bamacare like Germany, South Korea, Canada, Japan, and The UK, don’t have to spend the money on national defense that we do, why? Because essentially WE are their national defense. We provide security to these countries (at your expense) putting us at a further disadvantage.
